A Graveside Funeral Service for Wyndell O. Peay, 82, of Bamberg, SC will be held at three o’clock p.m., Friday, March 12, 2021 at the Bamberg County Memory Gardens, 14836 Heritage Hwy., Bamberg, SC with the Reverend Alvin Jeffcoat officiating and U. S. Military Honors accorded. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be sent to Hunters Chapel Baptist Church, 9423 Hunter’s Chapel Rd., Bamberg, SC 29003. A private family visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2:30 on Friday at Folk Funeral Home, Denmark, SC; the family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery on Friday. Due to the current pandemic and the CDC regulations, social distancing and other guidelines will be in place. The service will be live-streamed on our Official Folk Funeral Home - Live Stream Facebook page for those unable to attend. Wyndell passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021.
Born in Pineville, NC, he was a son of the late Floyd Flennon Peay and Carrie Elizabeth Varnadore Peay and was married to the late Betty Seay Peay for 38 years. He was a member of Hunters Chapel Baptist Church and retired from Delevan as an electrician. Wyndell loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his sons Tony Peay of Bamberg, Billy (Tori) Peay of Barnwell, Mark (Julie) Peay of Battle Ground, WA, and Matt (Donna) Peay of Bamberg; his sister Mary Peay Blair; grandchildren Shelby (Nick) Cunningham, Kelsey Peay, Warren Peay, Wyatt Peay, Jacob Peay and Madison Peay and his loving companion Jeanette Driggers of Bamberg.
He was preceded in death by a sister Louise Peay Simpson and his brothers William “Bill” Peay, Charles Peay and Wallace Eugene Peay.
