Funeral services for Quinton Wyman McCaw, Sr. will be held at three o’clock p.m., Monday, November 14, 2022 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with the Reverends Paul Locke and Marion Britton officiating; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Pallbearers will be Dalton Boone, Cameron Chapman, Daniel Carroll, Jason Carroll, Colby McCaw, and Eddie Whaley. Memorial contributions may be given to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 4384 Williston Rd., Windsor, SC 29856 or the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692. Wyman passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022.
Born in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late George Carlyle McCaw and Velma Morris McCaw and was married to the late Mazzie Louise Whaley McCaw. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and sang in the church choir. He retired as a supervisor from Dixie Narco. Wyman loved spending time camping and fishing, as well as, enjoyed spending time with his family, children, and grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughter Lissa (David) Carroll; a son Quinton (Lisa) McCaw, Jr. all of Aiken; grandchildren Angelo McCaw (Sierra Strong), Sydney Glover, Brooklyn (Dalton) Boone, Colby McCaw, Blakeley McCaw, Daniel (Mariel) Carroll, Jason Carroll, Kristen Carroll, Brian Carroll, and Courtney Carroll; 3 great grandchildren Eliana, Isabella, and Noah; sisters Helen McCaw and Shyral McCaw Cline both of Lexington, SC; a brother Clayton (Reba) McCaw of Columbia, SC and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Louise McCaw, he was preceded in death by a daughter Susan McCaw and a brother George Carlyle McCaw, Jr.
