William Kearse Proveaux, Jr.

A memorial gathering for William Kearse Proveaux, Jr., 71, of Olar, SC will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 3pm until 4pm at Folk Funeral Home, Denmark, SC. Mr. Proveaux passed away at home on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

Born in Orangeburg County, SC he was a son of the late William Kearse Proveaux, Sr. and Edna Owens Proveaux Rice. Mr. Proveaux was an electrician by trade; he loved being outdoors fishing and hunting and was thankful for his son being able to take him hunting a couple of times last year. He enjoyed attending Allens Chapel Baptist Church when he was able and visiting with friends and family.

Survivors include his son, William Kearse “Will” Proveaux, III; a grandson; Brandon Proveaux; his sister, Nancy (Dusty) Rhodes of Barnwell, SC; his brother, Steve Proveaux of Olar, SC; the mother of their children, Bobbie Jean Proveaux and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Brandon Proveaux.
