William E. Miller, 84, of Blackville, SC passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held at ten o’clock a.m., Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Calvary Mennonite School, 2436 Healing Springs Rd., Blackville, SC; burial will follow in the Calvary Fellowship Mennonite Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from two to four p.m. and six to eight p.m. at Calvary Mennonite School on Friday, September 12th.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are his grandsons, William Miller, Clay Miller, Connor Graber, Reagan Graber, Troy Miller, Brandon Miller, Kaden Miller, and Derice Hochstetler.
William Miller was born on June 15, 1941 in Hartville, OH to Phineas and Emma Miller. He was married to Alta Miller on June 1, 1967. He was a member and deacon of Calvary Fellowship Mennonite Church and he was well known in the community as a contractor and builder.
Survivors include his wife, Alta Miller of the home; his children, Susan Miller of Blackville, Jonathan (Louella) Miller of Blackville, Rhoda (Brian) Graber of Washington, IN and Jesse (Lori) Miller of Blackville. His grandchildren, William (Lynelle) Miller, Natalie (Derice) Hochstetler, Emma Miller, Liesel Miller, Allison Miller, Jonathan Clay Miller, Millie Miller, Connor Graber, Leah Graber, Reagan Graber, Savannah Graber, Katie Graber, Meagan Miller, Troy Miller, Audrey Miller, Brandon Miller and Kaden Miller; two great grandchildren, Zara and Louix Miller. His sisters, Alta (Leroy) Hershberger of Sligo, PA, Miriam (Alfred) Raber of Hartville, OH, Rhoda (Paul) Yoder of North Canton, OH, Mary (Larry) Johnson of Ocala, FL, Martha Digovani of Sarasota, FL and Elsie (Kermit) Zimmerman of Milford, IN; brothers, Glenn (Marie) Miller of Sarasota, FL and Nelson (Betty) Miller of Shipshewana, IN; a sister-in-law, Sylvia Miller of Hartville, OH and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Phineas and Emma Miller, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Mervin Miller and Phineas Miller, Jr.
