Kerry Wayne Robinson, 77, Ridge Spring, SC passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. Funeral services will be held at eleven o’clock a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2026 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Tim Webb officiating; burial will follow in the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friend one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
Born in Orangeburg County, SC, he was a son of the late Eurgenia Robinson Gleaton and was married to the late Margaret Ann Mitchell Robinson. Wayne was raised by his adoptive parents, Herman Sanders and Mamie Lee Grubbs Sanders. He was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church and enjoyed working and staying active. He previously worked in for the Department of Social Services in SC Food Stamp Division and Field Services and also was a night auditor for several choice hotels in the area. Wayne was very personable; he enjoyed people and could hold a conversation with anyone that he met; he never met a stranger. He loved traveling and seeing different sights, he also enjoyed Door Dashing and playing the piano. Wayne loved all of his children as each one held a special place in his heart.
Survivors include his children, Benjamin (Suzie) Robinson, Sr., Mamie Robinson (Mason) Ellison, Stephanie Robinson, Kerry (Crystal) Robinson, and Robbie (Jessica) Robinson; grandchildren, Amy Sue Robinson Mitchell, Lilly Ann Robinson, Catherine Robinson, Ruth Robinson, Benjamin “B.J.” Robinson, Jr., Timothy Kael Ellison, Madison Robinson, Harper Robinson, Tara Robinson, Jude Scott, and Easton Robinson; one great grandchild, Grayson Robinson along with a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Terry McLane Cato, Savon Bowick and Linda Martin and his brothers, Bobby Robinson, Glen Gleaton, Billy Gleaton, David Gleaton, and Jack Gleaton and a number of brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
