Funeral services for Virginia “Ginger” Trauschke Augustine, 85, of Williston, SC will be held at three o’clock p.m., Monday, November 6, 2023 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverend Melissa Williams officiating; burial will follow in the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday. Memorial contributions may be given to the Williston Cemetery, P.O. Box 367, Williston, SC or the Children’s Miracle Network at donate.childrensmiraclenetworkhospitals.org. Ginger passed away at home on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, the day before her 86th birthday.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are her daughters, Lynn Pruitt and Cheryl Tune, her sons, Bruiser, Scott and Robbie Augustine and her brother, Doug Trauschke.

Born in Springfield, MA, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth Glen Trauschke and Winifred Vivian Gage Trauschke and was the widow of Robert “Bob” Augustine after 63 years of marriage. She was a member of the Williston United Methodist Church. She retired from the town of Williston after working 25 years as town clerk. Ginger cherished every minute that she had with her husband, Bob, she loved waiting on him “hand and foot” and she missed him deeply after his passing. Ginger always loved having a large family and enjoyed spending time with each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ginger also enjoyed crocheting for her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl (John) Tune and Lynn (Jeff) Pruitt; sons, Bruiser (Esther) Augustine, Scott (Donna) Augustine, and Robbie (Ann) Augustine; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren with two on the way; sister, Judith Allard of PA; brothers, Doug Trauschke of Williston, SC and Richard Trauschke of MA; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Austin brothers, William and Kenneth Trauschke and a granddaughter Lauren A. Payne.
