Virginia Eloise (Driggers) Lawrimore

A Graveside funeral service for Virginia Eloise Driggers Lawrimore, 79, of Lexington, SC and formally of Blackville, SC will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021 at the Springfield Cemetery with the Reverend Ken Dodson officiating. In Lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials be given to the National Kidney Foundation 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016 or www.kidney.org. Due to the current pandemic and the CDC regulations, social distancing and other guidelines will be in place; facemasks are requested. The service will be live-streamed on our Official Folk Funeral Home - Live Stream Facebook page for those unable to attend. Mrs. Lawrimore passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021.

Born in Barnwell County, SC she was a daughter of the late Gary Eugene “Bonson” Driggers and Lucille Proctor Driggers and was married to the late Douglas McArthur “Mac” Lawrimore. Elosie previously worked and retired from the Gingerbread Shoppe in Barnwell after a number of years. She loved fishing, dancing and cooking. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family and was an avid Clemson Tiger and Carolina Panthers fan.

Survivors include her daughter, Virginia Ann (Ken) Furtick of Lexington, SC; two sons, Douglas McArthur “Doug” (Shelly) Lawrimore, II  and Ronald David (Jennifer) Lawrimore all of Huntersville, NC; her grandchildren, Sierra Rimes, Trevor Lawrimore, McKenzie Furtick, Maddi Lawrimore, Braelyn Furtick and Grayson Lawrimore who love their granny, and her sister, Fannie Mae Hammet.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Sue Churchwell, Irene Churchwell, Bronell Wood and Mary Elizabeth Driggers and her brothers, Eugene, Buddy, Randy and Mack Driggers.
