Timmy "Bear" Still

Funeral Services for Timothy Joseph Still, Sr., better known as “Timmy Joe” or “Bear”, 65, of Blackville, SC will be held at two o’clock p.m., Sunday, April 7, 2024 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverends Don McCormick, Rick Powell and Colas Capps officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunny Vista Church of God Cemetery, North, SC. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home of his parents, 66 Thursday Lane, Blackville, SC and the home of his daughter, 9223 Neeses Hwy., Springfield, SC. Timmy passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

The family would like to make a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses, staff, and hospice care team of Prisma Health Richland Heart Hospital for their love, patience, kindness, and care shown to them and especially their loved ones in his time of sickness and need. Thank you for all you do!

Born in Bamberg, SC on September 22, 1958, he was a son of Duylee (D.L.) Still and the late Evedell Still. He attended Faith Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church in Blackville, SC. In his younger days, he worked driving trucks. He enjoyed reading his Bible, drawing, watching horror movies, and gardening with his dad. He also loved selling fruit and produce at the stand and fishing. He was a huge Blackville–Hilda Football fan and loved his Clemson Tigers. He was the friendliest man you would ever want to meet. His biggest enjoyment came from making others laugh and smile. He will be missed beyond measure.

He leaves his parents, Duylee (D.L.) and Florence Still of Blackville, SC; a daughter and son-in-law, Jada and Trey Still of Springfield, SC; two grandchildren Cloie-Hope Joelle Still and Kanyon Clyde Still both of Springfield, SC; sisters, Rose Miller of Hilda and Mandy Still (George Wannamaker) of Blackville; a bonus sister, Debbie Collins of Barnwell; a special sister-in-law, Kathy Still of Barnwell; a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins, and special friends, Steve Davis and Clay Johnson.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy Joseph Still, Jr. and Dustin Clyde Still; three brothers, Hubert Still, Tommy Still, and Billy Still; two sisters, Cathy Still and Tammy Still; a bonus brother, Ricky Collins; three nephews and two nieces.
