A Celebration of Life Service for Tedda Howard and Stanley “Stan” Ray Howard of Windsor, SC will be held at three o’clock, Monday, December 4, 2023 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Elko, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will be held Monday, December 18, 2023 in Santa Anna Cemetery, Coleman TX. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Red Cross, 1314 Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC 29803 or the Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, P.O. Box 1178 Greenwood, SC 29648. Tedda passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023 and Stan passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023.
Tedda was born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was a daughter of the late Fritz Niesemann and Josephine Charolott “Josette” Ulrich Niesemann and was married to Stanley Ray “Stanley” Ray Howard whom she married on May 28, 1989. Tedda worked 365 hours as a Junior Nurse’s Aide at the Aiken Hospital, was a 1965 graduate of Aiken High School, attended USC in Columbia from 1965 – 69; she graduated with a degree in Biology and in 1977 earned her Master’s Degree in Biology. Tedda was a substitute high school teacher, a teaching assistant in the Biology Department at USC-Columbia, an instructor at Spartanburg Methodist College, was a Life Insurance Agent with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, and was owner of Cable Compute. She was a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (CHFC). She was a certified Red Cross Water Safety Instructor having taught water safety at Richardson’s Lake. She was President of the Astronomy Club of Augusta where she also served as the Web-Editor. She attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Elko where she attended the Adult II Sunday School Class, was in the Elko Baptist Church WMU, and was the Children’s Choir Director at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church. She was a self-employed farmer who loved tending to her goats and donkeys.
Survivors include her daughter, Agnes Marguerite Howard of Aiken, SC; a sister, Kathi Ferguson of Verona, PA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ronnie Wayne (Beth) Howard of College Station, TX; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Donna Sue H. (Scott) Brown of San Antonio, TX; nephews, Jim Ferguson, Fred Ferguson, Glenn Pearson, Robby Pearson and Brian Howard.
