Shelby (Chavis) Williams

Funeral services for Shelby Jean Chavis Williams, 76, of Barnwell, SC will be held at three o’clock p.m., Monday, December 20, 2021 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston with Reverends George Still and Ronald Wilkerson officiating; burial will follow in the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from five to seven p.m., Sunday, December 19^th at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC. Memorials may be sent to the Jeffrey Vadem Chavis House, 3164 J. Dewey Gray Circle, Building C, Augusta, GA 30909. Shelby passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021.

Born in Orangeburg County, she was a daughter of the late Roosevelt Chavis and Retha Mae New Chavis. She was a homemaker who loved to do yard work, growing fruits and vegetables and her favorite time was spent with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of Faith Christian Church on Hwy. 3 in Blackville.

Survivors include her loving husband of 44 years Eric Arthur Williams of the home; her daughter Erica (Bill) Allen of Sycamore, her son Rusty (Amy) Williams of Olar; seven grandchildren Trey (Haley) Allen (their children Gage and Jadyn), Wesley Allen, Jackson Ridgeway, Makenzie Williams, Evan Williams, Cole Williams, and Luke Williams; sisters Patricia Hair, Cathy Davis, Jeanette Chavis Driggers and Barbara (Tony) Carter; and a brother O’Neal (Janet) Chavis and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Tommy, Leamon, Mack, Cecil and Earl Chavis.
