Mr. Shaun Howard Brandt, 47, of Barnwell, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest at his home on Friday, June 12, 2026.
Born on February 7, 1979, Shaun was the beloved son of Ted Howard Brandt and Judy Kinsey Brandt. A 1997 graduate of Andrew Jackson Academy, he was a hardworking entrepreneur who owned and operated Brandt Farms, Low Country Wood Preserving, Inc., Brandt Forest Products, LLC, and Low Country Wood Products, LLC. Shaun was known for his strong work ethic, dedication to his family, and his ability to stay busy, always finding something to build, fix, or improve.
A faithful member of St. Johns Baptist Church and attendee of Barnwell First Baptist Church, Shaun lived a life centered around faith, family, and community. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren, supporting them in their sporting events and activities, and making lasting memories with those he loved. He was an avid supporter of the University of South Carolina Gamecocks and enjoyed watching Carolina athletics. Shaun also loved playing football in his younger years and had a talent for tinkering with odds and ends, turning projects into accomplishments through his creativity and determination.
In addition to his parents, Ted and Judy Brandt, survivors include his wife, Stephanie Collins Brandt; his children, Shaun Moye Brandt, Isabella Riley “Izzie” Brandt, Jaxson Ted Brandt, Collin Joseph Breland, Lorie Grace Breland (Matt), and Kinsley Breland (Chase) Bell; his grandchildren, Brooks Bell, Brady Bell, Caden Grubbs and Chance Bell; his sisters, Dawn Brandt (Mark) Guillebeau, Wendy Brandt (Scott) Taylor, and Shannon Brandt (Matthew) Hiers; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, John and Jackie Dukes; his sister-in-law, Rebecca Koon (Tim); his brother-in-law, Jason Dukes (Bethany); along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Grayson Grubbs; his maternal grandparents, Vivalee and Dan Bell and his paternal grandparents Mary Helen Ayer Brandt and John Moye Brandt.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026, at St. Johns Baptist Church, 2468 St. Johns Church Road, Ehrhardt, South Carolina, with the Rev. Mike Reed and Dr. T. Bart Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Johns Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at Folk Funeral Home in Denmark.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Johns Baptist Church, 2468 St. Johns Church Rd., Ehrhardt, SC 29081.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Ricky Varnadoe, Shaun Atkinson, Tal Fickling, Steve Stanley, Don Hart, and Dwight McKeithan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Moore, Calin Hiers, and Nic Godley.
Shaun will be remembered for his generous and forgiving heart, unwavering devotion to his family, and the countless lives he touched through friendship, faith, and service. His legacy of hard work, love, and dedication will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him and his contagious smile and laughter will be missed.
