Sally Ann Meckley, 80, of Aiken, SC passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. No formal services are planned at this time.
Born in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Leonard Olsen Sawyer and Sara M. Fitz Sawyer and was married to Arthur Leroy Meckley for 60 years. Sally devoted many years of service as a housekeeper at the Hotel Aiken. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness touched the lives of many. She cherished spending time talking on the telephone with her family and made it a point to call each family member regularly. She enjoyed collecting snowmen and was known for her generous spirit, often sharing her treasures and helping those in need. Her caring nature, warm heart, and selfless love for others will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Christine (David) Fulton of Home, PA, Lori (Daniel) Holbrook of Summerville, SC, Timothy Meckley of Aiken, SC, and Amanda (John) Meckley of Ridge Spring, SC; her grandchildren, Zachary (Olivia) Fulton, Zane Fulton, and Lacey Mabli; and her great- grandson, Brooks Fulton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Ellis.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Sally’s memory to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
