Sabrina Bearden Obituary

Sabrina Louann Bearden entered into eternal rest on February 7, 2026 at her home in Williston, SC, surrounded by her loving family. We rejoice through tears that our favorite pink girl is now flying high with the angels. She was 45 years young. Sabrina was born into a body that would be a physical challenge her whole life, making her dependent on others for her physical needs, yet those who knew her marveled at her ability to set aside her suffering to focus on the positivities of life, bringing joy to all she met. She graduated from Barnwell High School in 1999 and continued her education online, learning everything she could about anything that caught her fancy. She embarked on several entrepreneurial adventures in her adult years, always using her creative energy to provide lovely creations and often designed commissioned requests for her clientele. Her desire to improve never slowed down. Her dreams to go big never faded. Never wanting to be a burden, Sabrina always kept those who assisted her at the forefront of her mind. She was always sensitive to others and so grateful for those assisting her; the loving care of her family all of her life; the Home Health Aides, too numerous to count; the medical providers who carefully and so gently cared for her. Especially the following people: Dr. Ricky Boyles, who was by her side for the last 30 plus years. Dr. Angie and Sherlyn from Aiken Podiatry, our amazing home health nurses for the last almost 2 years. And our hospice nurses for the last 2 weeks of Sabrina’s life. You are all excellent doctors and nurses. But the compassion and love you showed Sabrina and our family during your care of her was above and beyond what most do. We will forever be grateful for all of you for making Sabrina’s pain even just a little bit easier for her to bear.

Sabrina was game for anything, ready to go in the moment carrying a quick wit and dry sense of humor with her. She loved being part of what she called her “big, chaotic family.” She loved, loved, LOVED driving all the little kids in the family around on her wheelchair taxi when they were toddlers. She enjoyed a wide variety of music and recently collaborated in making a collection of her favorite hymns. She was tight with her money, but enjoyed shopping and could never have enough purses, totes, or wallets. Sabrina loved watching movies with her dad, was an avid reader and traveled the world through books, and later, YouTube travel vlogs. She got to travel virtually to places she otherwise would have never seen through the ingenuity of YouTubers who “put her in their shoes.” Audrey Hepburn was her favorite, Paris, her dream. There are not enough lines in the newspaper to tell Sabrina’s story, to share the lessons her brave and courageous life showed others. Truly, God gave her immense courage and strength to persevere through life without bitterness. Countless people are better because of her example of being a true servant with a heart full of grace, kindness and forgiveness. The ripple effect of how she carried herself through this life reached across the country to people she never met, who were influenced by her selfless, incredibly brave heart and example. Prayers throughout her life have been lifted for her from more places and people than we know. This child of God, daughter, sister, cousin, niece, aunt, friend, lover of nature, animals and all things beautiful, especially if pink or a butterfly, is finally dancing. Free from all pain, in a perfect ethereal body. All who were blessed to have her in their lives will sorely miss her, yet rejoice that her soul is fully at peace in her eternal home.

“Well done, my good and faithful one, welcome to the place where you belong. You have run the race and now you’re home.”
