Funeral services for SFC John Harvey Carroll, 83, of Aiken, SC will be held at nine o’clock a.m., Wednesday, February 12, 2025 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC. Burial will follow at twelve o’clock noon, Wednesday at the Ft. Jackson National Cemetery with full military honors accorded. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Tuesday, February 11th at Folk Funeral Home. John passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025.
Born in Olar, SC, he was a son of the late Andrew F. Carroll, Sr. and Rosa Mae Spires and the step-son of Juanita Bodiford Carroll. He was a retired U.S. Army Veteran and also retired from the Federal Government as a U. S. Mail Contractor. He was a member of Springtown Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Suzette Angelique Carroll of Aiken, SC and Beverlee Carroll Stone of Orangeburg, SC; a son, John C. Carroll of Aiken, SC; sisters, Gloria (Rodney) Kinard of Hartsville, SC, Alice (Herman) Cook of Barnwell, SC and Mary Norris of Columbus, GA; a brother, Andrew Carroll “Junior” of Hampton, SC; grandchildren, Jayden Carroll, Jeff Carroll, Sierra Carroll, Sasha Carroll, Madison Edge, Nevaeh Carroll, Zachary Horger, Ethan Horger, Dylan Horger, Jarrett Horger, Jessie James Horge, Sean Seney and Daisy Glendening; great grandchildren, Lilly Ann Horger, Delilah Horger and Roy Horger along with a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Carroll and four infant children, Deidre Juanita Carroll, Jonnie Rae Carroll, Baby Girl Carroll, and John Lamar Carroll; brothers, Clifton Carroll and Robert Carroll and a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda (Jimmy) Creech.
