Ruth Livingston Kruger, 88, of North peacefully entered heaven Wednesday, March 5, 2025. A graveside Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Riverside Cemetery, Jones Bridge Road, North, SC.
Ruth was the widow of David A. Kruger, Sr. Born August 26, 1936, Ruth was the 3rd of 4 daughters of Hiram & Latrelle Hutto Livingston. She graduated from North High School and earned her degree as a Radiology Technician. She retired from Stone Manufacturing of North, SC as a Supervisor. Ruth was a loving and well-loved daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was an advocate for animals of all sorts and enjoyed her dogs, cats, and any wildlife that showed up at feeding time. “Mama Ruth,” as she was known to her many nieces and nephews, always had a funny story or laugh to share. She loved her flowers and would share cuttings with friends and family. Ruth always had encouraging and kind words for everyone. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. And she was an avid Carolina fan, enjoying her Gamecock decor and souvenirs, and celebrating their wins.
Ruth is survived by her sons and daughters-in-love, David and Mandy Kruger, Jr. of Gaston and Philip and Kelly Kruger of North; grandchildren, Amee Davis (Ryan), Rikki Kruger, & Emily Kruger; great grandchildren, William & Emmett Davis; sister, Anne (Bobby) Gray; aunt, Ruby Nell Smith; special cousin and friend, Billy Jeffcoat; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Dunn and Martha Young.

Heartfelt thanks go to the nursing and care staff at Pruitt Health on Whitman Street in Orangeburg. Ruth was loved and cared for and told her family many times about the sweet care she received and that she was happy there.
