Funeral Services for Rose Elizabeth Bell Collins, 89, of Olar, SC will be held at twelve o’clock noon on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverend Timmy Gunnells officiating; burial will follow in the South End Cemetery Bamberg, SC. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Monday, September 23rd at the funeral home in Williston. Memorial contributions may be given to Memorial and Honor Program St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or you may visit their website www.stjude.org/memorial. Mrs. Rose passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
Born in Bamberg County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Reverend Charlie Bell and Nora Sharp Bell and was married to the late Jimmy Riley Collins, Sr. She was a member of Bell Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church. She previously worked at the sewing room and retired as the Lunch Room Manager of Denmark-Olar High School.
Survivors include her sons, Terry (Gail) Collins of Elko, Dennis D. (Beth) Collins, Sr. of Elloree, Mark Anthony (Macie) Collins of Olar and Dennis D. Collins, Jr. of Olar; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Collins; grandchildren, Amanda Widener, Charli (Casey) Cooler, Ariel (Matthew) Bolen, Jeannia (Ringo) Sweat, Reneé McKinney, Joey (Michelle) Collins, LeGrand Collins, Dennis Collins, Jr., Jessica Collins, Sabrina Collins, Jamie (Nancy) Zorn, Jeremy (Robin) Eaves, Amy Morris, Isaiah Collins, Isabella Collins, Jessie Collins, Brittany Greenhill, Stacy Lynn Collins and Denna Collins; 23 great grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Bolen of Summerville; brothers Jessie (Karen) Bell of Wolfton, Willie (Brenda) Bell, Sr. of Texas and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Jimmy Collins, Sr. she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Collins; sons, Jimmy R. Collins, Jr. and Randall Gene Collins; sisters, Junelle Bell Sweeny and Virginia Lott; brothers, Joe Bell, John Bell and Charles Bell.
