Funeral services for Ronnie Lee Batchler, 71, of Hilda, SC will be held at two o’clock p.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Hilda First Baptist Church with the Reverends Tony Carter and Scott Hiers officiating; burial will be in the Batchler Family Cemetery, 1092 Tracy St., Barnwell, SC. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Tuesday, August 18th at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC Due to the current pandemic and the CDC regulations, social distancing and other guidelines will be in place. Ronnie passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020.
Born in Barnwell County, SC, he was a son of the late Robert Lee Batchler and Edith Morris Batchler. He attended Hilda First Baptist Church and was a self-employed entrepreneur. He was an outdoorsman who loved to fish and enjoyed being on the salt water. He loved fast cars and traveling; if he liked you he “picked” on you. In September 1966, Ronnie joined the U. S. Army and served in Vietnam.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law Travis and Nichole Batchler; sisters Joann (Larry) Kuester and Melanie (Matt) Delpit; a brother Randy (Lynette) Batchler; grandchildren Tyler Lee Batchler and Cynthia Marie Batchler; niece Cassie Mosteller; nephews Ethan Batchler, Scotty and Michael Hiers along with other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister Wanda Hiers and brothers Robert Clifford “Robbie” Batchler and Ricky Keith Batchler.
