Ronald "Ronnie" Earnest Renew, Sr.

Funeral services for Ronald “Ronnie” Earnest Renew, Sr., 69, of Williston, SC will be held at eleven o’clock a.m., Saturday, December 23, 2023 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverend Marshall Still officiating; burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery by the airport. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Ronnie passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023.

Born in Bamberg County, SC, he was a son of the late William Wallace Renew and Elizabeth Moore Renew. He worked with produce at the Farmer’s Market in Columbia and was previously worked as a self-employed carpenter. He loved fishing, riding horses and drinking Pepsi. He was a wonderful Poppy to his granddaughters.

Survivors include his loving wife, Teena Anderson “Nanny” Renew of the home; a daughter, Heather (Gordon) DeFreest of Barnwell, SC; a son, Ernie Renew of Williston, SC; his four-legged prized pet “Gibbs”; brothers, William Wayne Renew, Donald Kelly, and Danny Renew; granddaughters, Kayden “Katie” and Charlee DeFreest of Barnwell, SC; sister-in-law, Beth Anderson; brothers-in-law, Brookie (Glynn) Anderson and Norman Anderson; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Faye Anderson and a brother-in-law, Earl Anderson.
