Bob was born on January 2, 1965 in Brevard, NC to Jack and Marilyn Scroggs . Bob was preceded in death by his father, his mother, and his sister Jacque. He is survived by his loving wife Linda, his two exceptional children with their spouses, Kristin and Mark Campbell, and Sam and Madeline Scroggs, his brothers Mike, Ken, Steve, his sisters Debi, Marcia, and eight grandchildren, Ava Lorraine Campbell, Jaxson Robert Campbell, Isaiah Lee Campbell, Elijah Samuel Scroggs, Luke Alexander Scroggs, Josiah Richard Scroggs, Caleb Robert Scroggs, Sarah Lynn Scroggs.
On May 11 1985, he married Linda Martinez, the love of his life of Denver, Colorado that he sang to, danced with, shared dreams with, and enjoyed a rich life of love and blessing!
He received his ministerial degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He entered the ministry 1990, and pastored two churches nestled in the mountains of North Carolina, and then moved to Ashleigh Baptist Church in Blackville, South Carolina in 1997. He ministered as Senior Pastor for over 30 years, and influenced thousands with his passionate preaching, his anointed worship, and his love for the Kingdom of heaven, and remained faithful to his call. He never abandoned his life changing experience at age 22, when he encountered God like he had never known. He believed that if God could save and deliver him by Grace, He could reach anyone!
Bob was also an accomplished SC licensed building contractor, as well as, an avid music lover and had a special play list. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
We will see him again because we have the promise of eternal life in our Savior Jesus Christ! “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 NKJV
