A Celebration of Life service will be held at one o’clock p.m., Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston with Dr. Stephen Burnette officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday. Robert passed away on February 4, 2026 at home.
Born in Barbour County, WV, he was a son of the late Harry A. Everson and Jessie Booth Everson and was the oldest of their 10 children. He was married to the late Dora Boyles Everson for 68 years and was a member of First Baptist Church Williston. He was a heavy equipment mechanic, worked for King Knob Coal Company and retired at age 83 from Fogle Farms in Neeses, SC. He enjoyed woodworking and his life fulfillment was working with his hands.
Survivors include his sons, Jonathan D. (Nancy) Everson of Lumberton, NC, Steven L. (Melva) Everson of Williston, SC and Michael S. (Billie) Everson of Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Jason, Sarah, Jennifer, Morgan, Jorden, Caleb, Joshua, Clint, Michael Paul; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ketchum, Carol Ann Davis and Nancy Barrett all of WV; and brothers, Ralph Everson of Warren OH, and Paul Everson of Belington, WV.
He was predeceased in death by his wife Dora Boyles Everson, a daughter and son in law Rebecca E. (Michael) Davis; brothers, Eugene Everson, Larry Everson, Roger Everson and Richard Everson.
