Ricky Folk

Funeral services for Richard “Ricky” “Hammer” Julius Folk, 65 of Blackville, SC will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Folk Funeral Home Chapel in Williston with the Reverend Joseph Sanders officiating.  Burial will follow at Barnwell Memory Gardens on Reynolds Road.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home in Williston. Ricky passed away at MUSC Orangeburg on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

Born in Barnwell, SC he was the son of the late Julius Sims Folk and Theressa Lucille Brunson Smith.  He worked in the construction industry. Ricky enjoyed photography, he especially loved taking pictures of trucks and old houses.  He loved to watch Texas Ranger, marvel movies including X-men, Spiderman and Thor.  He also enjoyed watching the weather, fishing and being outdoors.

Survivors include his sister, Theressa Elizabeth Laurey of Blackville, SC and a brother, Dennis James “Bogie” Folk (Pam) of Early Branch, SC.
