Funeral Services for Ricky Vernon Collins, 59, of Blackville, SC will be held three o’clock p.m., Sunday, January 28, 2024 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverends Colas Capps and Stephen Gunnells officiating; burial will follow in the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from two p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Sunday. Ricky passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Pallbearers will be Mickey Richardson, Danny Richardson, Tony Carter, Trevor Stokes, Conner Gunnells, Jayden Williamson, Noah Gunnells and Jesse Gunnells.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Oliver Lang.
Born in Barnwell County, SC he was the son of Florence Richardson Collins Still and the late Lawrence Beckward “L.B.” Collins. Ricky started his career at Miliken out of high school, then worked at Fenn Automotive and later worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and maintenance supervisor with the City of North Augusta. He was a member of the Blackville Church of God and enjoyed building model airplanes, drag racing and playing video games.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Florence and DuyLee Still of Blackville; his sister, Debbie Collins; step-sisters Rose Miller and Mandy Still (George Wannamaker); a step-brother Timmy Joe Still; his nephews Stephen (Annette) Gunnells, Jeremy (Cindy) Gunnells and Brandon Williamson (Emily); he had numerous great nieces and nephews, step nieces and nephews and cousins whom he loved dearly.
He was preceeded in death by his step sister, Tammy Still; step-brothers, Billy Still, Tommy Still and Hubert Still.
