A Graveside Funeral Service for Fredrick Willis “Rick” Cooper, 62, of Windsor, SC will be held at three o’clock p.m., Sunday, September 27, 2020 at the Williston Cemetery with the Reverend Dan Fogle officiating. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Saturday, September 26th at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rick’s memory to Folk Funeral Home, P.O. Box 367, Williston, SC 29853. Rick passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020. The family ask that everyone please wear Clemson orange to the service in Ricks memory.
Born in Barnwell, SC, he was a son of the late Floyd Willis Cooper and Martha Loraine “Peggy” Jamison and was raised by the late Peggy Jamison and “Doc” Youngblood. He previously worked as a welder for the BID Group in St. George. Rick enjoyed camping, the Clemson Tigers and was an avid racing fan.
Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Frances Sigman “Fran” Cooper of the home, his children Annie (Don) Cheeks of Aiken, Robbie (Amy) Reagan of Aiken, and Jamie Cooper of Williston; sisters Donna (Scott) Augustine of Williston. Georganna (John) Faircloth of Wewahitchka, FL and Annette Cooper of Augusta, GA; brothers Tony (Pam) Cooper of Williston, Will Cooper of Augusta, Landon Terry of North Augusta, Carlton “Dab” (Shannon) Youngblood of Williston; four grandsons Keith Gibbs, Cayden Ward, Landen Reagan and Jayden Dicks; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins along with his four legged companions Roscoe and Maggie.
He was preceded in death by a sister Lynn Brock and a brother Donald “Slick” Youngblood.
