Randy Junior Chavis

A Celebration of Life will be held at two o’clock p.m., Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Faith Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Reverend Rick Powell officiating.  The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday.  Randy passed away on January 22, 2025.

Randy, 66 of Bamberg,  was born in Barnwell, SC and was a son of the late Vastine Chavis and Desalee Mizzell Chavis and was married to the late Bonnie Marie Glisson Chavis.  Randy worked in logging.

Survivors include his daughter, Shannon Beth Chavis Hydrick of Graniteville; sister, Mary Hutto of Springfield; brothers, Leroy Chavis of Bamberg, Bobby (Paula) Chavis of Blackville; grandchildren, David Bryson Weeks and Aaron Richard Hydrick and a number of nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his wife and parents, Randy is predeceased in death by a sister, Marth Lee Dyches; and brothers, Clyde Chavis, Lloyd Chavis and Abraham Chavis.
