Olin Sanders, Sr.

Funeral services for Olin Sanders, Sr., 80, of Barnwell, SC will be held at two o’clock p.m., Tuesday, November 10, 2020 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverends Ken Dodson and Timothy Gunnells officiating; burial will follow in the Green Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, Barnwell, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.

Due to the current pandemic and the CDC regulations, social distancing and other guidelines will be in place; facemasks will be required.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Animal Advocates, P.O. Box 1924, Barnwell, SC 29812 or the Barnwell County Animal Shelter Foundation, P.O. Box 1009, Barnwell, SC 29812. Mr. Olin passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020.

Born in Barnwell County, SC he was a son of the late Leroy “Roy” Sanders and Ethel Baxley Sanders. He was a member of Green Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church and previously worked at Holland Hitch in Denmark for 33 years; he was a lathe and drill press operator.  

Survivors include his daughter Lula Belle (Lee Edward) Fulmer of Barnwell; son Olin “Bubba” (Becky) Sanders, Jr. of Barnwell; a sister Sue (Leighton) Gunnells; brothers Norman (Audrey) Sanders and Coy Sanders all of Barnwell; grandchildren Krystal (Mike) Ward, Joshua Fulmer (Brittany), Jacob Fulmer (Jordan), Steven Sanders (Haley), Damion (Joanna) Sanders, Nina Delk (Richard)  and Cimberly Sanders; great grandchildren Matthew, Ava, Liam, Easton, Colton, Savanna, Levi, Bentley, Gary, Carson and Ava; his four-legged friends Roscoe and Snowball.

He was preceded in death by his brother Hubert (Joyce) Sanders; sisters-in-law Gloria Sanders and Patricia “Pat” Sanders and the mother of his children Mary Frances Proveaux Gartman.
