Nancy Ann Hutto Zorn, 89, of Barnwell, SC met her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ surrounded by her family and caregivers on June 13, 2026. Nancy was “Nana” or “Fancy Nancy” by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at three o’clock p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Friendship Baptist Church with the Reverends Jim Parnell and Marshall Still officiating; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Johnnie Zorn, Carson Zorn, Hunter Zorn, Noah Williams, Tanner Still, Bruce Hutto and Bill Bonnette. Memorial contributions may be given to Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 2381 Green Branch Rd., Barnwell, SC 29812 or to the Barnwell County Animal Shelter, 55 Diamond Rd. Barnwell, SC 29812.
Born in Barnwell, SC, Nancy was one of six children born to the late Pernell and Corean Black Hutto. She was married to the late John Gary Zorn, Sr. for 37 years. Nancy was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where she loved to sing and sang many years in the church choir. Prior to her joining Friendship Baptist, she was a longtime member of Hilda First Baptist Church where she led the music and was part of a quartet.
Nancy worked several jobs through the years, but her most rewarding was her job with the South Carolina Forestry Commission and then with the United States Forestry Service at SRS. She loved to climb the 80 foot fire towers and monitor fires. She retired from the USFS. She loved being outside, flowerbeds, WWE, chickens and her beloved dog, Chipper.
Survivors include one sister, Marie Richardson (Sammie) of Barnwell; sons, John Gary (Skip) Zorn, Jr. (Teresa) of Barnwell, Greg Zorn of Barnwell, Kent Zorn (Ginny Walling) of Ehrhardt; one daughter, Amy Z. (Bobby) Still of Barnwell; grandchildren, Garyn Still, Tanner Still, Merisa Zorn, Johnnie Zorn, Hillary (Matt) Adams, Courtney (Zack) Zorn and Carson Zorn, 6 great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews and her four legged friend, Chipper Jones, her King Charles Spaniel and Mr. B., her black rooster.
In addition to her husband, John Gary Zorn, Sr., she was preceded in death by her brothers, John Hutto, Joe (Virginia) Hutto, Glen (Carolyn) Hutto and W.A. Hutto.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Evelyn Ford, Donna Ray, and Crescent Hospice of Orangeburg for their exceptional care, love and concern shown to Mrs. Nancy and her family during her time of sickness.
