Mrs. Parimala Balmur Obituary

Mrs. Parimala Balmur, 72, of Barnwell, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at MUSC in Columbia, South Carolina.

Born in Vikarabad, Telangana, India, she was the daughter of the late Nathan Jacob Kavoori and Minni Nathan Jacob Kavoori. Mrs. Balmur devoted her life to education, faith, and service to others. She served for many years as a teacher and later retired as Principal of Methodist Boys High School. Her wisdom, leadership, and commitment to nurturing young minds left a lasting impact on generations of students and colleagues.

Parimala was a woman of deep Christian faith whose life reflected generosity, compassion, and unwavering devotion to God. A faithful steward and passionate giver, she joyfully supported pastors, evangelists, churches, and ministries across her home city of Hyderabad, believing wholeheartedly in advancing the work of God's kingdom. Her kindness touched countless lives, often through quiet acts of encouragement, prayer, and financial support.

Above all, she was devoted to her family. She was a loving wife to her late husband, Mr. Prakash Rao Balmur, a selfless and caring mother to her two children, and a cherished grandmother who found immense joy in her grandchildren. She delighted in bringing her family together, listening to music, sharing life's simple joys, and creating a home filled with love, faith, and warmth. She was especially grateful for the loving care and support provided by her children during her later years.

She is survived by her son, Preetham Balmur (Priscilla) of Barnwell; daughter, Preethi Valabhapuram (Samuel) of Columbia; and her grandchildren, Enosh Nathan Balmur, Joanna Abigail Valabhapuram, Junia Blossom Valabhapuram, and Jessie Carol Valabhapuram.

A funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026, in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC. The family will receive friends from 10 o'clock a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.

Mrs. Balmur will be remembered for her steadfast faith, generous spirit, dedication to education, love for children, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy of faith, compassion, service, and Christian generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
