Michael “Mike” Hoover Davis, 73, went home to be with his savior on Monday, December 4, 2023. Born in North, SC, he was the son of the late J.D. Davis and Alease Hoover Davis. Mike was a Christian man and an active member of Perry First Assembly of God. He was a proud father who loved his children dearly. Before retiring in 2005, he was a mechanical engineer at DuPont and Westinghouse. He loved to fish, going to auctions, and collecting coins and knives. He enjoyed cooking, where he was a master on the grill. He was an avid University of South Carolina fan, where he attended school.
Mike was preceded in death by his first wife, Rebecca Everson Davis.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Robbie Davis, of the home; his daughters, Morgan (Jimmy) Adamson (daughter Rebecca Marie) of Aiken, Jorden (Jacob) Tyler of Aiken, and Jessica (Jason) Ouzts of Graniteville, SC; grandchildren, Evan Ouzts and Chase Ouzts. He also leaves his beloved Boykins, Beau and Maggie; and many cherished friends.
Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Roger Hunnicutt, will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at First Baptist Church Williston, Williston, SC. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Perry First Assembly of God Cemetery.
