May Nell (Trowell) Noles

Funeral services for May Nell Trowell Noles, 82, of Blackville, SC will be held twelve o’clock noon, Friday, January 18, 2019 at Ashleigh Baptist Church with  the Reverends George Autry and Ken Frederick officiating; burial will be in the Double Pond Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from eleven a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Friday. Memorial contributions may be sent to Double Pond Cemetery Fund, 357 Double Pond Rd., Blackville, SC 29817. Mrs. May passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019.

Born in Alma, GA, she was a daughter of the late David T. Trowell and Sarah Deen Trowell and was married to the late Kyler W. Noles. She was a member of Ashleigh Baptist Church and retired from the Sunbeam Company. She enjoyed the time she spent on the family farm raising her children; she adored her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a peace maker and wanted everyone to be happy.

Survivors include her daughters Pollie Ann (Raymond) Brown of Santee, Susan Still of Barnwell, Fay (Robert) Hoover of Williston; sons F. C. (Jenny) Noles of Blackville, Cuyler W. Noles of Barnwell; sister Alice Kinlaw of Alma, GA; brother Vivian Deen of Alma, GA; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Myrtice Spivey and Velma Daniels; brothers Donald and Eugene Trowell and a grandson Hunter Still.
