Mary (Varn) Hanna

Mary Varn Hanna, 60, of Cope, SC passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024. A Graveside Service will be announced at a later date.

Mary loved Jesus, loved reading the Bible and spreading the word. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and serving sweet tea and Jesus. Singing and cooking were among her favorite pastimes. She previously worked in food service and house cleaning.

Born in Walterboro, SC she was a daughter of the late Elmer David Varn and Ann Deets Varn. She was a member of University Parkway Church of God, in Aiken, SC.

Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Hanna (Brad Bixter) of Rock Hill, SC; two sons, Jackson Hanna (Camryn Bone) of Orangeburg, SC and Benjamin Peay of Bamberg, SC; a special friend, Kenny Payton of Cope, SC;  her sisters, Stacie (Ronnie) Deese of Branchville, SC and Debora Varn of Columbia, SC; a brother, David Lee (Donna) Varn of Walterboro, SC; brother-in-law, Danny Myers of Little Swamp, SC; nephew, Trenton Myers; niece, Carolann Myers and several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Raynada G. Myers
