A Graveside Funeral Service for Mary Jordan Griffith, 94, of Williston, SC will be held at one o’clock p.m., Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the Williston Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Stephen Burnette officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the cemetery on Sunday following the service. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Williston Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 367, Williston, SC 29853.
Due to the current pandemic and the CDC regulations, social distancing and other guidelines will be in place. Mrs. Mary passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020.
Born in Covington, Alabama she was a daughter of the late James Elbert Jordan and Zinnie Hammond Jordan. Mary was a homemaker and was married for seventy-four years to the late James Monroe Griffith; she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family; she was always willing to be on committees, any socials and all events that her children might be participating in. She was a member of the Williston First Baptist Church where she served on the decorating, bereavement and various other committees. She was a member of the Rebekah Sunday School Class. Mary was a member of the Ackerman Chapter #198 order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her daughters Maria Carole Griffith and Linda Holliday of Columbia; a son and daughter—in-law Larry and Camille Griffith of Fayetteville, GA; grandchildren Amanda (Robert) Clemson of Florence, SC, Natalie (Richard) Robichaux of San Diego, CA; great grandchildren Jackson and Charles Clemson, August and Vivienne Robichaux; a nephew Jordan (Tammy) Couch of Pensacola, Florida and a niece Paula (Coby) Griffith of Tallassee, Alabama.
In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by her sisters Janette Blackwell, Gilda Albright and Betty Couch.
