Graveside funeral service for Martha Inabinet Northrup, 92, of Springfield, SC, will be held eleven o’clock a.m., Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the Springfield Cemetery with Reverend Brett DeYoung. Mrs. Northrup passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021.
Born in Springfield, SC, she was a daughter of the late James Arial Inabinet and Etha Martin Inabinet. She was first married to the late Thomas Quentin Northrup and was the widow of Edward J. Duke from Portsmouth, VA. She was a bookkeeper at the Orangeburg Cotton Mill, worked at the Orangeburg County Library and at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College.
Survivors include her daughters Elizabeth (the late Eric) Neil of Townville, SC , Hope (Frank Edward Bonura) Northrup, MD, of Houston, TX; sons Thomas Edmund (Virginia) Northrup, MD, of Chapin, SC, and Michael Walter Northrup of Columbia, SC; grandchildren Martha Lee Finch, MD, Daniel Kellems, Greg Northrup, Michele Northrup, Laura Henry and Jenna McCall, MD; great grandchildren Callan Henry, Curtis Henry, Bishop McCall, Caroline McCall, Harper Anne Northrup and Bennett Northrup.
She was preceded in death by her sister Elizabeth Hart and her brothers George M. Inabinet, James Inabinet and William Stokes Inabinet.
