A private graveside funeral service for Martha Nell Bolen, 77 of Blackville, SC will be held Friday, August 2, 2019 at Barnwell Memory Gardens. Martha Nell passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019.

Born in Barnwell County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Simmie Bolen and Nina Lee Mitchell Bolen. She was a business woman and an entrepreneur; Martha Nell formerly owned and operated Merle Norman Cosmetics for many years. She was the founder and a member of The Chapel Baptist Church in Blackville.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Jack Otho Wingate; sisters Libby Bell of Barnwell, Opal (Jimmy) Morris of Blackville; brothers W. R. “Billy” (Betty Faye) Bolen of Blackville, Simmie “Rodney” Bolen of Bamberg and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
