Funeral services of Martha Clark Dyches Hutto, 79, of Blackville, SC will be held eleven o’clock a.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverend Matt Thomas officiating; burial will be in the Ashleigh Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from five to seven p.m., Friday, January 14th at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to a church food bank of your choice. Mrs. Martha passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.
Born in Cross, SC, she was a daughter of the late Lucis Calvin Clark and Desalee Mizzell Chavis. She was first married to the late Patrick Johnson Dyches and was the widow of Charles Hutto. She was a member of Hilda First Baptist Church where she was in the WMU and helped with many other committees. She was a machine operator at Blackville Manufacturing for 15 years and also worked at the sewing rooms in Barnwell and Williston. She also worked as an in-home caregiver.
Survivors include her sons Franklin Johnson Dyches (Jeri Lynn) and Calvin Marcus Dyches (Cathy Davis) all of Blackville; a sister Mary Hutto of Springfield; brothers Leroy Chavis of Bamberg, Bobby Chavis of Blackville, Abraham Chavis of North, Randy Chavis and Lloyd Chavis both of Blackville; grandchildren Brittany (Anthony) Heatwole, Johnathan (Stephany) Dyches and Marcus (Kristen) Dyches and Crystal Dyches; 13 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother Clyde Chavis.
