Marcus “Mark” Joel Woodman, 72, of Blackville, SC passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at eleven o’clock a.m., Monday, February 23, 2026 at the Barnwell Memory Gardens on Reynolds with the Reverend Roger Hunnicutt officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery on Monday.
Born in Tifton, GA, he was a son of the late Victor Russell Woodman, Jr. and Ruth Evans Woodman. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Barnwell and loved spending time with his grandkids. He previously worked at Savannah River Site as a Control Room Operator. Through all of his sickness, he was always smiling, had a positive attitude and never lost his faith.
Survivors include his daughter, Amy Elkins of Barnwell, SC; a son-in-law, Andy Elkins of Barnwell, SC; his son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Alicia Woodman of Gilbert, SC; the mother of his children, Vicky and Herman, who he affectionately called his husband-in-law; grandchildren, Adley Woodman, Ethan Elkins and Emmaleigh Elkins; a sister, Pam (Roger) Stephens of Aiken; a sister-in-law, Edna Woodman of Houston, MS; nieces and nephews in Mississippi, Tony Woodman, Tracy (Toby) Hawkins, Frances (Stephen) Poores and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ivan Woodman.
