Marjorie (Lee) Mazat

Marjorie Lee Mazat, 76, of Denmark, SC, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024.

Born in Beaufort County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert F. Lee, Sr. and Marjorie Fleming Lee. Marjorie, affectionately known as “MarjAnne,” was a fun and free spirit who brought joy and laughter wherever she went.

Marjorie is survived by her son, Christopher Mazat of Barnwell; daughter, Lee Anne Mazat of Williston; granddaughter, Olivia Lockwood; and brother, Robert F. Lee of Denmark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel A. Mazat; sister, Rosie Lee Inabinet; and brother, Fleming Lee.

A 1966 graduate of Denmark-Olar High School, Marjorie took great pride in her family’s deep roots in Denmark and remained a true hometown girl at heart. As a devoted member of Bethel Park United Methodist Church, she was always ready to lend a hand, especially in working with the children on Sundays. Her vibrant personality and loving nature made her a cherished presence in both her church and community.

While there will be no formal memorial services, Marjorie will be celebrated through the happy memories, fun stories, and everlasting imprint she left on the hearts of her family and friends. Those who knew her are encouraged to honor her by sharing their favorite stories and celebrating her beautiful life.
