Margie Jean (Edgins) Stover

A Celebration of Life Service for Margie Jean Edgins Stover, 66, of Monetta, SC will be held two o’clock p.m., Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Laurens, SC with the Reverend James Harvey officiating. Margie passed away at home on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

Born in Newberry County, SC, she was a daughter of Bertha May Sheffield Edgins and the late Paul Edgins and was married to the late Robert Stover, Jr. for 22 years. She was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family and all of their babies and enjoyed collecting “knick knacks”.

Survivors include her mother, Bertha Edgins of Joanna, SC; her children, Melissa Spoon of Monetta, SC, Scottie (Jay) Spoon of Greer, SC and Wendy Spoon (Brian) of Monetta, SC; grandchildren, Robert Spoon, Brandi Hill, Chaistie Brown, Austin Brown, Breanna Spoon, Amia Green, Isiaha (Dixie) Parker, and Colton Gage Spoon; great grandchildren, Bentley, Riley, Jaxson, River, Alaina, Felicity, Willow, Chloe, Charleigh, Jamie and Brelee; sisters, Ann Moss and Joyce (James) Harvey; brothers, Mike Edgins and Clyde Edgins along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jamie Spoon; a grandson, Jamie Spoon and her brother, Joe Edgins.
