Margaret Marlene Ritchie, 88, of Blackville, SC passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 18, 2021. She was born in Columbia, SC, October 20, 1932 as the daughter of Lillian and Perry Sharpe. She moved to Blackville in 1955 where she worked for Shuron Continental, was a dedicated servant at her church, and helped raise a family that was also heavily involved in the community.
She will be lovingly remembered by her three sons and two daughters, Steve (Charlotte) Ritchie of Hodges, Don (Yvonne) Ritchie of Lawrenceville, NJ, Bubba (Shay) Ritchie of Barnwell, Dianne (Gregg) Youngblood of Elko, and Sheilah Stetson-Davis (Randall) of Hilton Head Island. She was the proud MeMa to 11 grandchildren, their spouses and 26 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Norma Ritchie of Columbia; and brother, M. Laverne Sharpe (Joann) of Columbus, MS. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clarence M. Ritchie; parents, Lillian and Perry Sharpe of Columbia; brother-in-law, Edgar Ritchie of Columbia; and son-in-law, Doug Stetson of Hilton Head Island.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ritchie will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Folk Funeral Home Chapel in Williston, SC with the Reverend David T. Turner officiating. Visitation will be held at noon until the time of the service at the funeral home on Tuesday and all other times at her residence, 47 Furman Street, Williston, SC 29853. Burial will be held at the Blackville Cemetery with the Reverend Matthew Pressley officiating. Honored to serve as pallbearers Derek Youngblood, Tristan Ritchie, Daniel Stetson, Alan LeRoy, Jeffrey Ritchie and Matthew Pressley; Honorary pallbearer will be Matthew Ritchie. Due to the current pandemic and the CDC regulations, social distancing and other guidelines will be in place. The service will be live-streamed on our Official Folk Funeral Home - Live Stream Facebook page for those unable to attend.
