Madeline Musilek Obituary

Madeline (Munari) Musilek, beloved Mother, Sister, Daughter, and Grandmother born October 12th 1952, peacefully transitioned home to Christ January 1st of 2022.

Madeline was born to Edward and Rose Marie (Petersen) Munari. The eldest of six sisters and one brother all whom grew up on Western Avenue in Hazel Crest. Madeline attended St Anne's School followed by Thornton High School which she graduated in 1970.

She was married to Ronald Musilek from August 18, 1973 to 1983. Madeline spent the next several decades working in the Chicago Loop as a paralegal. Some of her fondest memories and friendships in this field were shared at Barnes & Thornburg. Madeline had accomplished graduating from University of Phoenix in 2008 with a degree in I.T.

Aside from enjoying camaraderie at the American Legion, in her personal time Madeline loved to crochet. One of her favorite things to do around the holidays and birthdays was make it extra special for her children, grandchildren, friends and family by crocheting them special knick-knacks such as ponchos, hats, gloves, and ornaments!

Baking goodies always brought Madeline great happiness. You could always count on 'witch fingers' at Halloween. She loved making her famous quiche! Making Christmas ornaments from flour, water and salt was a favorite tradition too!

Madeline enjoyed karaoke with a passion as though she were entertaining at the music awards! Other pleasures were playing the accordian and of course her quick witted comedic nature and ability to love and laugh!

She is succeeded by her children Joseph Munari, Denise and Deanna Musilek. Her sisters Marian, Margarite, Maureen, Melinda, Michael, MaryRose, Laurie, and Debbie. Her granchildren Jacob, Ryan, Matthew, Caroline, Cameron and Emma. She is preceded in death by both parents Edward and Rose Marie and Irene Munari (stepmother) and Ronald Musilek. May you rest peacefully until we meet again.
