Lynn Sanders

Funeral services for Lynn Sanders, Jr. of Williston, SC will be held at three o’clock p.m., Sunday, November 8, 2020 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Reverend Timothy Webb officiating; burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Christian Church Cemetery, Barnwell, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday. Lynn passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020.

Born in Dublin, GA he was a son of the late Joseph Leon Sanders and Laura Mae Card Sanders. He began his career driving trucks then worked as a deputy for the Allendale County Sherriff’s Department. He later worked in maintenance as a Boiler-Technician and the leadman at Castleberry’s until he was medically retired after 20 years. He loved to fish at Little Hell and enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a loyal Dale Earnhardt #3 fan. He took pride in his family and friends; all who knew him will miss him dearly.

Survivors include his wife Jenny Mae Sanders of the home; his daughter Brittany Parker of New Ellenton; his son Augustus “Gus” Sanders of Barnwell; grandchildren Sevannah Allen, Jaiden Allen, Brianna Allen and Paisley Sanders; his sisters Barbara (Tim) Couch of Montmorenci, Lila (Buck) Key of Windsor, and Brenda Sanders of Montmorenci; a brother Jerry Leon Sanders along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-sisters Peggy McClung and Betty Jo Sanders and his step-brother Billy Sanders.
