Funeral services for J. Lloyd Oberholtzer, 86, of Bamberg, SC will be held at eleven o’clock a.m., Saturday at the Barnwell Mennonite Church with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Friday, October 25th at the church. Mr. Lloyd passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
Born in Ephrata, PA, He was a son of the late Phares and Anna Oberholtzer and was married to the late Emma Oberholtzer for 64 years. He was a member of the Edisto Mennonite Church. He was a self-employed carpenter and a master craftsman building cabinets and remodeling. He and his wife, Emma, owned and operated The Wee Bake Bakery in Denmark, SC for many years.
Survivors include daughters, Lonita (Delmar) Diem of Denmark, SC, Dawn (Merle) Yoder of Monticello, GA and Crystal (Dwight) Lee of Macon, MS; a son, Linford (Rosetta) Oberholtzer of St. Matthews, SC; a sister, Naomi (Jon) Gerrard of Canada; a brother, James (Jeanette) Oberholtzer of Lititz, PA; 22 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Emma Oberholtzer, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Oberholtzer.
