Funeral services for Linda Ruth Etheredge Still, 75, of Barnwell, SC will be held at ten o’clock a.m., Friday, May 24, 2024 at Reedy Branch Baptist Church, Barnwell, SC with the Dr. Thomas Terry, Reverends Harry Warren and Garrett Etheredge officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Thursday at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC. Memorial contributions may be given to Reedy Branch Baptist Church, 411 Reedy Branch Rd., Barnwell, SC 29812 or the Gideons International, P.O. Box 86, Williston, SC 29853. Linda passed away at home on Monday, May 20, 2024.
Born in Blackville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Clifton Etheredge and Louise Birt Etheredge and was married to the late Larry James Still. She was a member of Reedy Branch Church where she was a member of the Joy Club and served as church secretary. She also enjoyed being involved with the Willing Hearts Club at Friendship Baptist Church. She previously worked at Barnwell County Hospital in the Medical Transcription Department. Linda loved to travel, watch Hallmark movies, and enjoyed scrolling through Facebook and playing games on her IPAD. She enjoyed cooking and also was a member of the Red Hat Club.
Survivors include her sons, James Kevin (Leigh) Still of Barnwell, SC and Gregory Alan (Jaime) Still of Bamberg, SC; her caregiver who she loved like a daughter, Kathryn Bryant of Williston, SC; two granddaughters, Jennifer Leigh Still of Charleston, SC and Ashley Michaela Still (Ray Lewis) of Olar, SC; a special sister-in-law, Dorothy Creech of Lexington, SC along with a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Etheredge.
