Linda Joyce Smith Pickett, 78, of Olar, SC passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at her home. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Folk Funeral Home, Denmark, SC and at two o’clock p.m., Saturday, June 21st at Rockco Funeral Home in Montevallo, AL with graveside service to follow at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was a native of Montevallo, AL and was born in Birmingham, AL she was the daughter of the late Paul Bradford Smith, Jr. and Louise Woods Smith. She was a life-long member of Enon Baptist Church where she sang soprano in the choir and was an active church member. By trade she was a dental hygienist for over 25 years. She was previously married to the late Robert Manning Brabham of Olar SC and was later married to William Kenneth Pickett of Al. She loved flowers and was an avid gardener. She enjoyed the outdoors where she loved to hunt and fish. She also enjoyed her horses and loved trail riding. While in high school she was a majorette and could still twirl a baton later in her life. She was a master at sewing and made clothes for her children and her precious collection of dolls. She always loved a good game of Scrabble.
Survivors include her daughters, Kris (Mike) Gossman of Islandton, SC, Paula (Steve) Clemmons, Robin Dabbs , Kasey Killingsworth of Olar, SC; six grandchildren, Krystle (Rodney) Creel , Andrew (Ginny) Bishop, Jerin (Hannah) Killingsworth, Robert T. Graham, Tristin (Will) Nettles and Nine great grandchildren; Makayla Creel, Haley Creel, Akaiya Creel, Kensley Creel, Ryleigh Creel, Bentley Bishop, Gunner Bishop, Boone Bishop, and Jax Killingsworth.
A sister, Deliah (Larry) Robinson; brothers, Paul Bradford (Patti) Smith and Jeff (Tina) Smith of Montevallo Al.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Delores Gilreath and brother in-law David Gilreath.
