Funeral services for Lewis David Colley, Jr., 68, of Barnwell, SC will be held two o’clock p.m., Monday, December 6, 2021 at Olar First Baptist Church with the Reverends Dale Hutto, Harry Warren and Mark Epperson officiating; burial will be in the Olar First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from four to six p.m., Sunday at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC. David passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021.
Born in Waycross, Georgia he was a son of the late Lewis David Colley, Sr. and Olivia McCarty Colley. David retired as a press operator at Dixie Narco and worked for Bolens’s Building Supply. He was a member of Olar First Baptist Church, the U.S. Air National Guard, was an avid Georgia bulldog fan, enjoyed fishing and dearly loved his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughters Tracey (Jason) Turpin of Barnwell, SC, Krystal (Nathan) Williams of Blackshear, Georgia; sons David Brabham and Lewis D. (Brandy) Colley, III all of Barnwell, S.C.; eight grandchildren Raylin Turpin, Addison Turpin, Ryan Kemp, Elizabeth Brabham, Logan Ayer, Mikalah Sanders, Austin Colley; great-granddaughter Raelynn Kemp; sisters Laura Mercer of Waycross, Georgia, Charlotte (Dave) Poston of Macclenny, Florida; brother Kee Hall of Orange Beach, Alabama; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a grandson Noah Turpin.
