LeRoy Leverne (Roy) Baughman

Leroy “Roy” Leverne Baughman, 87, of Barnwell, SC passed away at the Lexington Medical Center on Monday, December 9, 2024.

Born in Lexington County, SC, he was a son of the late Lester H. Baugham and Alma Lacon Baughman and was previously married to the late Shirley Cox. He started working at a very young age and began going door-to-door selling vacuum cleaners and at one time selling encyclopedias.  He later became owner and operator of D’s and the Furniture Barn for several years. Through the years he owned and operated several different bars and grills. Roy enjoyed gambling and loved riding his Harley-Davidson and enjoyed riding in Poker Runs to benefit others. The most important thing Roy loved was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his daughter Bridgett Estrada of Cornersville, TN; a son, Leroy L. “Lee” (Dianne) Baughman, Jr. of West Columbia, SC; his grandchildren, Chasity (Mahand “Mo”) Kafesh, Nathaniel H. Casias, Cayla B. (John) Porter, Erica N. Estrada, Jonathan M. Estrada and Joshua (April) Ard; great grandchildren, Haylee, Malaki, Tark “Mosiah”, Kylie, Essa and Halsey; two sisters, Doris Woods and Alberta Poole; two brothers, Lester (Avon) Baughman, Jr. and Harold Baughman; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
