Lauren (Augustine) Payne

Funeral services for Lauren Augustine Payne, 36, of Williston, SC will be held at three o’clock p.m., Sunday, July 25, 2021 at the First Baptist Williston with Dr. Stephen Burdette officiating. The family will receive friends from one thirty p.m. until the time of the service at the church on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Brandon Payne, Thomas Payne, Payton Payne, Darren Augustine, Matt Augustine, and John Raymond Maximiek, Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be her family at Russell’s Pizza in Williston and the Jefferson Davis Academy Football team and coaches. Memorial contributions may be given in Lauren’s memory to Folk Funeral Home, P.O. Box 367, Williston, SC  29853. Lauren passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021.

Born in Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of Darren Thomas Augustine and Patricia Corley Metheny and was married to Jimmy Brandon Payne. She was a member of the First Baptist Williston where she helped to coordinate the Prisoner Ministry Packets and also helped to maintain and upkeep the church. Lauren was a manager at Russell’s Pizza where she worked for many years. She loved hiking, camping and running; she enjoyed going to ballgames and supporting her boys. Lauren will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband of 15 years Jimmy Brandon Payne; her sons Thomas B. Payne and Payton J. Payne of the home; her brother Matthew (Kami) Augustine; her mother Patricia C. Matheny; her father and step-mother Darren “Bruiser” (Esther) Augustine of Williston; her mother-in-law Susan Payne; step-sisters Candice (Mark) Warren, Rebecca (Matt) Pena and Barbara Ann Jeffcoat; brother-in-law John Raymond Maximiek, Sr. and his son John Raymond, Jr.; sister-in-law Rebecca Everitt and her children Megan and Preston; maternal grandparents Patrick and Maxine Corley and her paternal grandparents Ginger Augustine and the late Bob Augustine.
