Kenneth Levern Black, 56, of Hilda, South Carolina, entered into heavenly rest on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at his home.
Kenny was a walking testimony of his faith in Jesus Christ who had, by far, been the biggest influencer in his life.
Kenny was an avid deer hunter in his day. He enjoyed spending time with family - whether at his home or visiting with them over weekend trips. He spent a lot of his time in the Word of God where he would study to show himself approved. Journaling would also encompass his Bible studies. He wore a cherished necklace that meant more to him because it represented Christ in his heart. He would wear it proudly so that others would know the special place Jesus had taken in his life. Over the past 10 years, he was a faithful employee to Collum Lumber in Allendale, SC. Memorial contributions may be given in Kenny’s memory to Gideon International, P.O. Box 86, Williston, SC 29853.
Services will be held at Folk Funeral Home in Williston, SC at 1 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Family will receive friends and family in the chapel at Folk Funeral Home two hours prior to the service on Saturday. Internment will follow at Memorial Baptist Church in Olar, SC.
Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Gerail Dean Black; and a cousin Melissa Black.
Kenny is survived by his son, Gregory (Michelle) Black of Graniteville, SC; a sister, Sondra (Robert) Hogan of Grovetown, GA; a niece, Jessica (Chris) Carswell; nieces and nephews: Wyatt, Caydence, Pyper, and Mikayla Reid, and Waylon Carswell; a special uncle, Bernice Black of Denmark, SC; and special cousins, Stanley (Christine) Creech, Dianne Brant, Linda Fowler, Brenda Malphrus, Linda (Chris) Evans, Buddy (Patti) Black, Maude (Clay) Hinely, Teresa (Brian) Searfoss.
