Obituary

 Kelly Anthony Richardson (52) passed away Saturday, June 4th, 2022, in Augusta, Ga. Graveside Funeral Service will be held at ten o’clock a.m., Wednesday, June 8th, 2022, at the Beaufort National Cemetery; 1601 Boundary St., Beaufort, SC  29902 with full military honors accorded. Memorial contributions may be given to the Charlie Norwood VA Hospital, CC Unit, 3rd Floor, 1 Freedom Way, Augusta, GA 30904.

    Kelly was born in Omaha, NE on April 21st, 1971; he was the son of Kenny Wade Richardson and Dorene Lucille Bishop Richardson Davis. Kelly served our country honorably, for 25-years, in several military branches including the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Army, earning the rank of Sergeant.

     Sgt. Richardson completed multiple tours of duty in Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Iraq earning commendations including: the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (2nd Award), Army Commendation Medal (2nd Award), Navy/Marine Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award), Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two campaign Stars, Southwest Asia Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd Award), Armed Forces Reserve Medal W/M Device, NATO Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge (2nd Award), Ku-Lib-Mdl (Saudi Arabia), and Ku-Lib-Mdl (Kuwait).

     Survivors include his mother and step-father Dorene and Jerry Davis of Williston; his father and step-mother Kenny and Connie Richardson of Iowa; wife Lissa Ann
