Kathryn Rebecca (Kitty) Boyd

Kathryn Rebecca “Kitty” Boyd, 94, of Barnwell, SC passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at ten o’clock a.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2025 Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery by the airport.

Born in Barnwell County, SC, she was a daughter of the late James Monroe Rowell and Bessie Lee Delk Rowell and was married to the late Sidney Thomas Boyd. She retired as an engraver from Shuron Corporation.

Survivors include her daughter, Debra B. (Cecil) Carter; sisters, Gwen Hutto and Ann Waldrop; her grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Sidney, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Boyd and siblings, Naomi Hilliard, Evelyn Wyndam, Hattie Baxley, Robert Rowell, Douglas Rowell, Martha Towne and Monroe Rowell, Jr.
