A Celebration of Life Service for Justin Clark Carroll, 33, of Barnwell, SC will be held at eleven o’clock a.m., Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the First Baptist Church of Barnwell with Dr. Stephen Burnette and Rev. Tim Kneuss officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the church on Saturday. Justin passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
Born in Augusta, GA, he was the son of Marvin Edward “Ed” Carroll and Darlene Powers Starling. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Barnwell and the Circle Theatre in Barnwell. He received his BS degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management from the University of South Carolina. Justin loved the Lord and his family and friends with all his heart. Music, acting, and cooking were a few of the things he truly enjoyed. His most favorite place in the world was Edisto Beach and he was a loyal, lifelong Gamecock fan
Survivors include his father Ed (Wren) Carroll of Barnwell; his mother Darlene (William) Starling of Prosperity; sisters Whitney (Todd) Brown of Lexington and Courtney Starling (Bryan) of Columbia; brothers Stephen (Whitney June) Starling of West Columbia and Jonathan Hart of Augusta, GA; his maternal grandmother Iris Powers of Aiken; nieces and nephews Riley and Jackson Brown and Eliza June and Henry Starling; a great friend and mentor David Caldwell and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Ed Powers and paternal grandparents Marvin and Thelma Carroll.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Griffith, Hardee Sanders, Stephen Taylor, Tony Uldrich, Steven Walling, Marion Young and Employees of the Barnwell County Sherriff’s Office.
